The Vacu-Valve is a trickle valve system that operates as a constant discharge valve for dust collectors, hoppers, cyclones, and other equipment operating under negative pressure.  A vacuum operated valve is suitable for continuous discharge applications that have dense, free-flowing material such as sand, coffee grounds, as well as other industrial particulate.  This trickle valve comes in two designs; the open-construction of the Platypus and the closed construction of the Armadillo.  Its unique duck bill design allows it to dispense free-flowing material continuously.

This low maintenance trickle valve is self-actuating.  It requires no lubrication, controls, or power supply.  The Vacu-Valve is perfect for “keep empty” dust collection units and is offered in carbon or stainless steel.  The replaceable duck bill sleeves are available in a neoprene, white nitrile, and viton.  These sleeve options allow for the Vacu-Valve to be utilized in a variety of applications. 

The Vacu-Valve Platypus and Armadillo trickle valves are typically applied in industries such as foundries, mining, cement, pharmaceutical, dry foods, plastics, chemical, and manufacturing.
