Marion Mixers Live Bottom Feed Hoppers

MARION, IA - Marion Mixers hand-crafts each of their Live Bottom Hoppers. These hoppers quickly and safely meter bulk product to the working area of a production facility.
The mixers can be integrated into an existing process with the flexibility of controlling the speed with a VFD. By controlling the speed of the belt and the height of the flow gate, bulk product can be metered to almost an exact amount without the need for load-cells and scales.
When a system is ordered, the customer can specify the leg height of the Live Bottom Hopper to fit into their system layout.
Sizes Available
- 24” wide belt with the capacity of holding 315 ft3 or 8,000# of material.
- 36” wide belt with the capacity of holding 394 ft3 or 10,000# of material.
- Custom sizes can also be developed according to your specific needs.
Variable Speed Drive
Marion Mixers Live Bottom Hoppers are equipment with variable speed drive gearmotors. This allows the system to be tied into an existing process with a VFD. Utilizing a coupled gearmotor eliminates the need for additional guarding around the gearmotor.
Adjustable Flow Rate
Marion Mixers Live Bottom Hoppers are equipped with a manually adjustable flow gate. System is also designed with an adjustable belt skirting to prevent leaks of dry material as small as 1/8”.
Safety
Guarding is provided in pinch points in compliance with OSHA and MSHA standards. System can have an option “E-Stop” and warning signal. Railing access gate opens inward to guard against falling. Railing is built to OSHA standards.
