New system for aseptic size reduction

AURORA, IL - Fluid Air, a US-based manufacturer of solid dosage processing equipment for the pharmaceutical industry, announces the release of a new aseptic version of its GRANUMILL JR. size reduction system.
Designed for use in laboratories for research and development applications, the company's GRANUMILL JR. system is the smallest model of its GRANUMILL line of size reduction systems, which includes several larger units for pilot and full production-scale processes. These variable-speed systems are built for low-speed deagglomeration as well as high-speed fine grinding of material, impact and screening in one easy-to-use system.
The update to the GRANUMILL JR. allows it to be used in aseptic processing environments requiring absolute sterility. The system features a removable rotor with speeds up to 10,000 RPM for fine grinding, fitted with an aseptic seal and quick-release housing components to allow for complete disassembly within minutes. To comply with stringent aseptic cleaning requirements, the mill's cGMP design permits for 100% sterilization of all product-contact parts.
