YORK, NE - Cyclonaire Corporation’s state-of-the-art CycloTech™ System Proving Facility is the only private testing facility in the United States that offers full-scale simulations of virtually all pneumatic conveying applications.
CycloTech is an extension of Cyclonaire’s research lab and enables engineers, scientists, customers, and anyone with conveying questions to test samples of dry bulk materials in dilute, semi-dense, and dense phases – in vacuum, pressure, and combined vacuum-pressure modes. Users range from individuals to major corporations. In addition to scaling, batching, and blending, simulations include transfers between silos and bulk bags, to and from railcars, and into in-plant processing and bulk storage.
The CycloTech facility houses convey line lengths up to 1,137 feet in common line diameters. Conveyor units range from 1 to 75 cubic feet and more. A bulk bag unloader, multiple low-pressure blowers, a high-volume 100-psig compressor, hoppers, filter receivers, and dust collectors round out the main hardware. CycloTech process controls allow evaluation of conveying variables in real-time. Tests can simulate the performance of customers’ planned systems to ensure that they will meet target specifications. Cyclonaire then guarantees that installed systems will perform as tested.
