Trendsetting filter-, pump- and pelletizing technology

01 June 2012 - 654 views

SENDEN - Filtering and conveying of plastics melt, innovative valve technology as well as pelletizing and infrared-drying technology are the speciality of the KREYENBORG Group.

During this year’s ACHEMA particularly efficient systems will be brought into focus.

Interesting for Polymer producers is the increasing trend to replace large area filters in Polymer lines by screen changers. This results in a number of advantages, like e. g. the quick change of the filter media or the short residence time of the material in the screen changer. Altogether the profitability of the complex line is considerably increased by screen changers.

The new KREYENBORG V-type screen changer with power backflush technology provides for an especially profitable filtration. Integrated into very sensitive extrusion applications it permits the production of most high quality products out of very polluted input material. Its inimitable backflush system thereby ensures a very high screen lifetime and minimal backflush losses.

Furthermore KREYENBORG GmbH will present its latest developments in the field of diverter valves.

As world market leader in the manufacturing of underwater pelletizing systems for polymerisation lines BKG Bruckmann & Kreyenborg Granuliertechnik GmbH presents sophisticated systems and solutions in the field of underwater pelletizing systems.

For producers of PET the patented CrystallCut®, which has been developed by BKG, is of special interest. With this process pelletizing and crystallisation are effected in one process step without the necessity of supplying additional energy from outside.

A crystallization of the material is effected only by means of the sensible heat of the recently cut pellets. In comparison to conventional crystallization processes essential energy savings may be realised with CrystallCut®. These lines are also available as bench-scale unit.

For several years KREYENBORG Plant Technology GmbH & Co. KG is successfully focussing on infrared radiation for the thermal treatment of bulk goods. Thus with the infrared drum the heating, drying and crystallising of most different materials is realised in minutes rather than hours in continuous mode of operation.

As the infrared radiation directly enters into the material and heats it from inside, the energy consumption is very low in comparison to conventional systems. Additionally the material is handled extremely gently. Focus of the application of the infrared drum is the drying and crystallisation of PET. However, generally the system may be used for the processing of all free flowing bulk goods in most different branches of industry.

Beyond its further production range, KREYENBORG Group these efficient solutions on occasion of the ACHEMA 2012 in Frankfurt in hall 5.0 at booth B2A.
