Grundfos is the full range supplier of pumps and pump solutions.

With an annual production of more than 16 million pump units, Grundfos is one of the world s leading pump manufacturers. Circulator pumps for heating and air-conditioning and other centrifugal pumps for industry, water supply, waste water and dosing are the major products. Today, Grundfos is the world s largest manufacturer of circulator pumps, covering approximately 50 per cent of the world market for these pumps.

In addition to pumps, Grundfos manufactures motors for the pumps, and motors are also sold as separate merchandising. Furthermore, Grundfos develops and sells state-of-the-art electronics for monitoring, controls for pumps and other systems, as well as ground-breaking technologies with a sustainable perspective.

Our pump solutions can move water away from places where it presents danger to places where it is useful. Our technological solutions ensure this is possible with energy consumption so low that the carbon emissions are reduced to a minimum. With business areas including Grundfos BioBooster, InFarm and MicroRefinery, we contribute with innovative solutions to the disposal of wastewater, the removel of odour problems at pig farms and the transformation of wastewater sludge into diesel.

History
Grundfos was established in 1945 by the late Poul Due Jensen. The company grew rapidly and, when Poul Due Jensen’s son, Niels Due Jensen, took over the position as Group President in 1978, the company was already an important factor on the pump market worldwide. Before his death in 1977, Poul Due Jensen changed the ownership, founding the Poul Due Jensen Foundation which today is the major holder of Grundfos stock.
